On Monday, House Republicans released a plan, known as the American Health Care Act, to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. Tim Jost of Washington and Lee University provided the following summary of the proposed legislation:

The most important thing for you to remember is, at this point, the Republicans’ plan is just a PROPOSAL. The Affordable Care Act is still the law and nothing has changed for 2017.
