Latest ACA Repeal and Replace Efforts Unsuccessful

~ Published on July 18, 2017 by Willona Stallings ~

Yesterday evening, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that the GOP’s latest efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act had been unsuccessful, this due to growing opposition within his own party.

Although attacks on the ACA are expected to continue, we are happy to say (again) that the ACA is still the law and nothing has changed for 2017. As long as consumers continue to pay their premiums, they can use their health insurance to see a doctor and fill their prescriptions. If consumers have questions, please encourage them to schedule a FREE, in-person appointment with a local assister by dialing 1-855-733-3711.

We hope to see many of you on this coming Friday, July 21 when we’ll provide an update on the ACA and talk about what your organization should be doing now to prepare for Open Enrollment Period 5. For more information about Friday’s coalition meeting, please click here.

Be well,
