In honor of National Health Center Week, NC Get Covered is recognizing four health centers for their commitment to serving North Carolina’s medically underserved. This weeklong celebration, taking place August 12-18, includes events across the state.
National Health Center Week is a national campaign to raise awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers. These health centers are part of a nationwide network of clinics that serve more than 27 million people. All of them have a long history of helping low-income and medically underserved communities get the care they need, regardless of insurance status.
NC Get Covered is recognizing the following health centers for their exceptional service:
- Charlotte Community Health Clinic
- The C.W. Williams Community Center
- Greene County Health Care
- Person Family Medical and Dental Center
Please also be reminded that our next coalition meeting will take place on Friday, August 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Community Care of North Carolina’s Training Room, located at 2300 Rexwoods Drive in Raleigh. The focus of the meeting will be short-term, limited-duration health plans.
